CASE NO 2….
She is a woman with bad reputation; having been married and remarried for three times with three different men at three consecutive years, with no declaration of nullity of marriage of the first husband before she entered the second marriage, much worst was the last marriage is with her first cousin. Can she qualify to be a witness for the crime of murder of her second husband wherein the accused is her first cousin now her third husband?
It’s a bad case...I hate it when my superior will assigned me to conduct interviews to a witness who is obviously will only make my work complicated because of her art of lying, surely I will conduct the interview for at least 2-3 days to extract the truth from her, if ever that she will speak the truth along the way of our conversation..
It’s Monday when she agreed to be interviewed, I was pissed off because I have a 2pm scheduled hearing at the prosecutors office and it’s raining cats and dogs outside of the court room, and my cell phone was ringing every 30 minutes and my husband is having a “check status mode” again as if I am a 7 yr old kid that was lost at the forest of nowhere, aggravated from the phone call that I received from my aunt ordering me to file my desistance on that day instead of a reply for obvious reason that she don’t want me pursue the case because my father objected of having his daughter that will undergo a trial proceeding as a complainant of a case that for them is not so important to waste a time with.,. I was really pissed off…why ordered me that where my aunt has the direct control of dismissing the case if she wants to, in my family it’s the rule of the majority that will governed even if I objected to it…so stressful day indeed.
1:00 pm exactly the so called witness entered the room, as I expected from her looks alone, her abnormality is very apparent, it manifest from the way she dressed up at her age, I just thought that maybe my judgment is not correct as the saying goes don’t judge the book by its cover. I could read her personality in our conversation. My guts and intuitions were correct, she was very much abnormal, showing bizarre behavior during the interview, she bite her nails often times, will look straight directly in my eyes making me believe that she was telling the truth…has an anatomy of selective amnesia, she will remember only the events that she wants to remember that could help her third husband to escape conviction. She attributed of the happening of such dreadful event which lead to the death of her second husband, she claimed that she was just a victim of the circumstances of bad luck and even consulted a fortune teller whether she will testify or not…I cut my interview with her ahead of time because she is suffering from a mood swing disorder,. I am not a psychologist, however , I have this feeling that if I will communicate with her further my mind will also blow up of consciousness... I might get infected of her misery…It’s a very tiring day..
